When you meet new people from different cultures, whether at home or abroad, it is like making a journey. The challenge is finding the best part of yourself in the process of exchanging ideas and forging new friendships. The Italian language comprises a rich cultural tapestry that encompasses its art, history, food, music and most of all its people. For this reason, the best way to learn Italian is by immersing yourself in it.
Why Florence? Seven centuries ago, Florentine authors Dante Alighieri and Giovanni Boccaccio were the first to write for the public in the Italian vernacular rather than in Latin. Since then, it has been widely perceived that Florence is where the Italian language was born. Today, even though Italian is the language with many dialects, Florentine Italian is still considered to be the purest and most authentic.

My role is to show you the path,
whether it is to delve deep into “Italianess” or merely to take a glimpse into the lives of everyday Italians; either way, I will provide you with the tools you need to navigate the Italian terrain, from total engagement with the language to simply learning enough to perform such everyday tasks as shopping, making telephone calls, going to the doctor, traveling by public transportation, or all the other little things we take for granted in our native language that are an important part of daily communication in any language. You will gain confidence by learning the Italian language quickly and proficiently.

In the years that I have studied and taught the Italian language I have carefully analyzed the most effective methods for achieving the best results, and as I have gained experience, my model has gradually evolved. Specifically, over time, I have begun to understand the advantages of the virtual classroom, a dynamic platform that allows people from all over the world to connect and bond with each other while also bringing a broad range of perspectives into the learning experience. This happy discovery has been a true joy for me, my students, and my teaching team, so I have adopted this medium for my classes.
